I scheduled my bicycle for a major tune-up appointment today. It will be receiving a fresh drive train, including the chain rings. I have put probably 8 chains on this pair of chain rings, and they are currently shot.
A new chain and new cassette is next, plus a replacement of all cables and housing and new bar tape. I’ll be dropping it off on Thursday after a ride with Gallaudet’s Evan Goodman (a fellow cyclist I met through the AG Bell Foundation) and then hopefully getting it back so I can ride while I visit my grandparents in Lancaster, PA on Saturday. I’ve always wanted to do some riding in Amish Country, everyone recommends it; I’m hoping to steal an hour away and do some exploring.
Other than that, it has been a week full of revisions for the website, working, and schoolwork. I will be in school until a week before I leave for the ride, so my training regimen is pretty difficult to implement. Baseball begins in exactly one week!
